What are your favorite things to do outside of the office?  Try new restaurants, make cocktails, watch sports!

How has your background impacted your experience as a consultant?  I have been in the IT world for about 8 years. Previously, I was in the field selling software.  Having a systems-focused background certainly helped, but I continue to learn and be challenged every day as a consultant.  That’s what makes it fun!

What’s a typical workday like for you?  Most days, I enjoy a morning coffee while watching the news and checking emails and Teams. I’m certainly a “pen & paper” person when it comes to my to-do list, so that’s where I jump to next. Depending on my call schedule, I’ll be in and out of that to-do list until I’m wrapped up for the day.

What motivates you to wake up and go to work every day? Working alongside the Bridgepoint team and our clients. When asked “what fills my cup”, it’s the wonderful folks I get to talk with every day.

What kind of work have you been doing?  My biggest focuses this year have been on two end-to-end NetSuite implementations, assisting with some internal initiatives, and helping co-chair the Bridgepoint Culture Club in planning some fun events for our Austin Hub.

Where did you deliver the most value to your client?  Over the past few years, I’ve been given the opportunity to spend more time in the project and change management space with client implementations. It’s something I’ve really enjoyed alongside continuing to learn and fine-tune my knowledge of the core business process areas (Record to Report, Project to Cash, Procure to Pay). I hope my clients have enjoyed some laughs along the way, too!

Linking data to finance and accounting, explain environments that have had lack of reporting infrastructure/inefficiencies and how have you brought organization and solutions-implementation. Many of our clients are coming off homegrown systems, QuickBooks, or other ERPs that they’ve outgrown. Many are also in siloed system environments & doing most reporting out of excel. Our project teams work to provide best practices and prior client experiences to deliver the best end product to our clients.

What’s your process like when working with clients? Once we’ve worked through the Sales handoff and have conducted the necessary requirements-gathering sessions, we now have a clearer picture of the client’s current state vs. their future/desired state within NetSuite. We try to “show and tell” throughout the configuration so the client can get comfortable with the new system, well before they have access and the testing phase of the project. Documenting processes and supplying key artifacts throughout the project has also been successful in the overall user experience. Moving to a new system can be a scary thing as it’s a big adjustment – we’re here to make the transition as smooth and seamless as possible by providing the white-glove treatment and acting as a true partner for our clients.
