URL Technology Company Reduces Close Cycle & Drives Efficiency Through NetSuite Implementation 

Overview 

The client – a branded link management company enabling the use of descriptive links and domain activity – engaged Bridgepoint’s FiT team to enhance financial and operational capabilities through a customized NetSuite configuration. 

Business Challenges 

As an early-stage company, the client was experiencing resource constraints, limited NetSuite implementation expertise, and a disjointed accounting system that led to a modified cash basis reporting structure with little financial analysis and a lengthy close cycle. 

Approach 

After initial discovery meetings with internationally based department heads, the Bridgepoint team designed a project roadmap to rework the client’s accounting processes and implement NetSuite with limited interruptions to day-to-day operations. 

Next, Bridgepoint consultants documented the current state, provided best practices and integrated a customized NetSuite configuration with enhanced financial and operational capabilities.  

Bridgepoint also worked alongside the client’s technology development team to build an interface to streamline data between their proprietary web platform and NetSuite for customer-related transactions. 

Lastly, our team converted the client from a modified cash accounting configuration to an accrual-based system to provide more real-time visibility, ensure accuracy of information and reports, and offer transparency of the organization’s overall financial health. 

Results 

After Bridgepoint completed the multi-company, multi-currency implementation, the client was able to consolidate and close their monthly financials in a more timely and accurate manner.  

As a result of Bridgepoint’s exceptional performance, the client further engaged our team to build out customized reporting capabilities within Tableau and integrate more effective methods for FP&A. Our team continues to act as an interim controller to manage monthly accounting needs and post-go-live optimization.
