Hi, I’m Bobbie, and I work in Bridgepoint’s Financial Consulting Practice. I’m what they call a “Boomerang.” I first joined Bridgepoint four years ago. I was woo-ed away by a client, and after almost 2 years there, I realized that Bridgepoint was a better choice for me. They graciously accepted me back just over a year ago. I’m a lifer now!

applying to the Houston Office in 2016. At the time, there was an urgent need for financial consultants in Austin, so I joined the Austin office. When I was ready to move back to Houston, Bridgepoint made it happen!
My morning routine starts with…
a review of tasks that I want to accomplish that day. I’ll check my calendar to see what meetings I need to prepare for and work around. If there are emails that I need to answer, that is next on my priority list.
A typical working day for me may consist of…
meetings with the client’s staff to assess their needs or provide updates on progress for the project we have been hired to complete. It may also consist of heads down work that I can complete remotely so that I am not distracted.
Something people don’t know about my role is…
that there is rarely boredom with the work I get to do. One of my favorite aspects of consulting is that I’m learning about new industries all the time. I also get to be the hero because I may get to show the client “a better way” to solve their business challenge.
My proudest moment at Bridgepoint was…
when a client sent a kudos (note of recognition) to Bridgepoint’s leadership about what a great consultant I am.
The thing I like most about working at Bridgepoint is…
they treat me with respect and recognize my unique talents. I feel like the team at Bridgepoint goes out of their way to give appreciation for doing great work, and they find opportunities where consultants can really shine.
Social causes that I am passionate about are…
those that are related to children. I am especially passionate about the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo that raises millions in scholarships for kids around the country.
On the weekend, you’ll find me…
hanging out with my husband and his triplets…the weekdays are less exhausting!
If I wasn’t doing this as a career, I’d be…
in the hospitality business! My family used to own bars, and I remember those days with fondness. I’d probably find a way to do that again.
The best career or leadership advice I’ve ever been given was…
to treat every job as if you were the boss. Know the business inside and out, so that you can truly make a difference. Set an example of excellence for those around you so that excellence is the standard.
