Construction & Distribution Company Gains Real-time Visibility & Enhances Inventory Management via NetSuite Implementation 

Overview 

Spartan Group – a construction, fabrication, distribution, and engineering company – engaged Bridgepoint’s Cloud Solutions team to enhance their financial and operational capabilities through a customized NetSuite implementation. 

Business Challenges 

Before engaging Bridgepoint, Spartan Group was facing intercompany transaction and multi-subsidiary accounting challenges stemming from their usage of QuickBooks. This led to inventory management issues, a lack of project management system support, and much-needed real-time visibility into their financial data.  

Approach 

After initial discovery meetings, the Bridgepoint team worked closely with the client to implement NetSuite’s general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, projects, sales orders, purchase orders, and inventory management modules.  

Our consultants also leveraged Bridgepoint’s process model to define to-be processes and build functionalities on the NetSuite platform to address Spartan Group’s unique user stories.  

Results 

After Bridgepoint worked to implement NetSuite with a go-live date of less than 90 days, Spartan Group is now able to make faster and more informed decisions due to their ability to seamlessly access real-time financial data, retain more visibility and control over inventory management, and foster company-wide efficiency as their financial and operational processes are now housed under one comprehensive platform. 

In addition, our consultants also worked to significantly enhance project material budgeting and cost tracking, improve financial and project profitability reporting, extend Opportunity & Lead Management capabilities, and automate multiple operational tasks to improve efficiencies across AR, AP, Sales, inventory management, and project teams.
