What led you to consulting?
In my consulting career, I have always gravitated towards building and growing service lines, offerings, and practices. I have done this with small, medium, and large consulting organizations. I look forward to the opportunity to bring my collective experience, lessons learned, thoughts and ideas to the table in order to help Bridgepoint achieve its next evolution of growth.
How would you describe the culture at Bridgepoint?
What attracted you to Bridgepoint and when did you know #teambridgepoint was for you?
I view Bridgepoint as being at a compelling inflection point, ready for the next evolution of growth. I was drawn to the unwavering commitment to company culture and entrepreneurial spirit. Additionally, the middle-market focus and private equity firm relationships fit well with markets I have worked in during my career. I would say the combination of being able to contribute to growth, in fantastic company culture, with a dynamic market focus is what brought me to Bridgepoint.
Talk to us about who you are outside of consulting.
I enjoy spending time outdoors fishing, pheasant hunting, hiking, or just doing yard work. I also own a classic car that I tinker with from time to time.
What advice would you give someone who is considering a career in consulting?
Consulting is not about being the smartest person in the room. Although a consultant must be externally aware and prepared to bring innovative solutions, the art of consulting is more about leading a client to the business objective and creating an approach to achieve the objective. Premiums are paid for delivery execution and results, not for information (which is available instantly to anyone in today’s digital world).
