Project Overview
A national designer, manufacturer, and operator of next-generation electrical infrastructure faced growing operational complexity as it scaled its solar, wind, and consulting solutions across the U.S. Outdated systems like QuickBooks and disconnected tools created data silos, reporting challenges, and made it difficult to accurately recognize revenue and expenses tied to long-term projects.
After facing issues when attempting to implement NetSuite on their own, the client turned to Bridgepoint Consulting to take over the implementation. Our goal was to deploy a fully integrated NetSuite solution tailored to the company’s unique contract-based business model and enable long-term scalability, accuracy, and efficiency across finance operations.
Business Challenge
The client’s legacy systems, including QuickBooks and a patchwork of standalone tools, could no longer support the scale or complexity of the business. Revenue and expense recognition was inconsistent, data was siloed, and reporting lacked accuracy and timeliness.
The client attempted minor upgrades, but these efforts did not offer the full integration or control required. Their initial attempt also fell slightly short of success – implementation stalled, and key issues around project-based revenue recognition were left unresolved.
Without automation or accurate financial alignment, the client risked delays, compliance issues, and missed revenue opportunities.
Approach
Bridgepoint Consulting assumed full ownership of the NetSuite implementation after NetSuite PS was disengaged. The project was managed remotely and executed through the FiT (Finance in Technology) practice area.
Discovery & Planning
A comprehensive discovery phase revealed the client’s reliance on customer deposits and vendor prepayments for long-term contracts. The team mapped out critical processes and created a plan that ensured proper revenue and COGS recognition at the time of inventory transfer—without using NetSuite ARM.
Implementation
Bridgepoint implemented NetSuite and Netgain’s NetAssets, integrated RAMP, and designed custom workflows to align financials with operational milestones. Particular attention was paid to data quality, reporting structures, and process automation.

The team worked closely with the client through daily check-ins and collaborative workshops. A mix of functional and technical consultants ensured every stage of the implementation – from sandbox testing to final migration – was handled with precision.
